1. Agreement

By using meridianguides.my you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. What this site is

Meridian Guides is an independent digital publisher. This site explains who publishes our directories and on what basis. It publishes no ranked listings itself: each ranked directory is a separate property with its own site.

The directories we currently publish are:

• Malaysia Steamboat Guide (steamboatguide.my)

Nothing is sold on this site. There is no service to buy, no booking to make, and no subscription.

3. Listings are compiled from public sources

Business listings on our directories are compiled from public sources and are provided without warranty. We do not guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete or current, and details can change without our knowing.

We do not inspect premises. We do not verify licences, accreditations, insurance or qualifications, and no position in a ranked list should be read as implying that we have.

4. Rankings are editorial opinion

Rankings are editorial opinion, based on the published method applied to public customer reviews. They are not a certification, a guarantee of quality, or a recommendation of any individual business for your particular circumstances.

The method is published in full on how we rank businesses. Deciding whether a given business suits your job, budget and timing is your own decision.

5. No commercial relationship with listed businesses

Meridian Guides has no ownership stake in, and no commercial relationship with, any business listed on its directories. No listed business is a client. Rankings are never sold. See editorial standards.

6. Dealings with listed businesses

Any agreement you enter into with a business found through one of our directories is between you and that business. We are not a party to it, we take no commission, and we accept no liability for the work done, the goods supplied, or any dispute arising.

7. Links to other sites

Our directories and this site link to third-party websites, including the businesses listed and the directories themselves. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site.

8. Corrections and removals

Business owners can have a listing corrected or removed by email at no cost. The process, the timescales and what we can and cannot do are set out on corrections, disputes and removals.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Meridian Guides is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or of any directory we publish, or from reliance on any listing or ranking.

10. Intellectual property

The text, design, scoring method documentation and other original content on this site belong to Meridian Guides. You may quote from it with attribution and a link. Republishing substantial portions or reproducing a ranked list wholesale is not permitted without written permission.

Business names and marks appearing on our directories belong to their respective owners and are used to identify those businesses.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, harvest or bulk-copy listing data.
• Attempt to manipulate a score or ranking.
• Use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages to listed businesses.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the site.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date shown at the top.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
